Cactus Technologies pSLC Flash Memory – durable and reliable

The pSLC technology offers a long service life and great value for money. In pSLC flash storage systems, the MLC-NAND cells only store one bit instead of the usual two bits, similar to a SLC flash cell. The pSLC technology makes MLC flash storage faster and more durable. It also increases the number of writes per flash cell – the so-called "write endurance" – considerably. The memory devices in the 245S series reach up to 20,000 cycles – six times more than comparable MLC systems.

The Cactus 245S series contains the form factors SD card, CFast, 2.5" disc and M.2. Like any industrial storage unit by Cactus, these pSLC products offer True BOM (Bill-of-Material) Control and the ECC (Error Correction Code), Wear Leveling and Defect Management security features.
