Syslogic RPC Compact 71: Truly indestructible

Syslogic is well known for its rugged and long-living industrial computing systems. With the latest release of the RPC (Rugged PC) Compact 71 product line, Syslogic even raised those standards. Due to the completely dust- and waterproof anodized aluminum housing, the new innovation withstands even highest stresses and strains.

Syslogic launches the RPC (Rugged PC) Compact 71 - a new product development which sets new standards in application where performance and reliability is the main issue. The obvious improvement is the hard anodized aluminum housing which makes the computer almost indestructible. The IP67 housing is dust and waterproof as well as chemical resistant. Because of the hard anodized aluminum, the RPC withstands even highest physical impacts, shocks or vibrations.

The core: new, high performance processor

Inside the housing a rugged and maintenance free Syslogic embedded computer impresses with groundbreaking innovations. The core of the RPC is the new scalable Intel Queensbay platform. The performance level last from 600MHz across 1.0 and 1.3 up to 1.6GHz. All four processors have the low power consumption in combination with the high performance in common. Besides, the RPC Compact71 comes with a real time clock (RTC) which is supplied by a maintenance free gold cap solution.

The RPC Compact 71 as well as every Syslogic embedded computer get along without any moving parts. The system is suitable for the 24/7 continuous operation and approved for the use within the extended temperature range of -40 up to +65 degrees Celsius on component level. In addition, the RPC is designed for various industries such as construction machines according to DIN EN 13309 or for Railway according to DIN EN 50155. Furthermore the RPC Compact 71 comes with ten standard M12 interface connector as well as a regular SD interface and a two wire LVDS Interface. (FPD-Link)

In use under adverse conditions

The RPC Compact 71 is used all around application where harsh environmental conditions dominate and conventional industrial computer capitulate. According to this, the RPC is suited for usage in outside application - neither humidity nor extreme variations in temperature can harm this rugged system. It is frequently use for construction machines. Raphael Binder, Product Manager at Syslogic points out: "With its IP67 protection, the RPC Compact 71 is qualified for the use in dusty environment. Individual customizing is possible

Besides the standard products, Syslogic fulfills also individual customer demands. As an example; it is possible to equip the ten standard M12 connections individually with different interfaces ¬- even for small quantities. With this, Syslogic underlines its expertise as a system manufacturer for small and midsized quantities.
